Terrorism, in the modern world, does not signify the olden age warfare where the physical wits are matched with each other in the battlefield. Instead it focuses on the mental war between the foes, who can be anybody ranging from people with different views to different cultures. The disturbing fact about the Terrorism is it uses the name of ‘religion’ for enforcing the beliefs and ideologies of certain groups onto the general public. These groups have the most sophisticated arms and ammunitions, not always being developed by themselves, smuggled through various sources right from traitors to the spies in various countries. The most vocal support for these groups come from various banned organizations which defy the government laws in providing the intelligence inputs regarding various national security secrets. Terrorism is rampant in most of the countries which are hampered by war, thereby providing illegal protection to these groups which flourishes itself amidst poverty-stricken hapless people.
The various measures taken by the Governments in tackling terrorism by enacting strict laws to combat anti-social elements have to be supported by the people, per se. Difference of views between the politicians should not abet the terrorist groups in tackling the personal scores, which might also claim other innocent victims.
